After cleaning, ensure the carpet is completely dry. It can be placed in a well-ventilated area to air dry naturally, or a fan can be used to accelerate air circulation to prevent residual moisture from causing secondary mold growth.

Solid-color carpets in long-term humid environments also pose a risk of mold spread. Mold spores can be spread through the air; if mold on the carpet is not treated promptly, it may contaminate other indoor textiles or furniture, and even cause respiratory illnesses. Therefore, if you discover a musty smell or localized discoloration on your carpet, take immediate action: minor mold can be cleaned at home, but if the mold covers a large area or has penetrated the backing, it is recommended to contact a professional cleaning company for deep cleaning. If necessary, replace the carpet and the damp underlayment.
